For Individuals

Generally, people in Goodwill programs are given a referral by several different agencies:

These agencies determine whether or not someone is eligible for services and then provides the funds for such services.

Goodwill itself also has general admission criteria:

  • Individual must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Have a registered Social Security Number and picture I.D.
  • Be free of acute medical, psychological or psychiatric problems (not be a danger to self or others)
  • Be capable of basic personal self-care skills appropriate to work setting.
  • Be capable of managing transportation needs (with assistance if needed)
  • Possess a vocational disability (physical, developmental, psychological, or other disadvantage)
  • Have fees for services available (exception: Administrative approval of Goodwill-funded members)
